Data Logging and Notifications
Steady State Data
While real-time data is monitored every second, steady state data is stored at user defined periodic intervals. Multiple steady state data tables can be defined with different storage intervals. For example a short term table can be configured to store data every 10 minutes for 1 year while a long term table can be configured to store data every hour for 5 years. The amount of data stored in each table is only limited by database size and disk space.
Transient Data
The system stores data at an accelerated rate of once per second during machine transient events such as startups, trips and shutdowns. Transient captures can be triggered automatically or manually by a user. Multiple transient data sets can be stored for each machine. This helps in making before and after comparisons of transient data in case of machine overhaul or any other maintenance event.
Triggered Logging
Soft triggers can be setup that can be used to trigger steady state or transient data logging or to suppress alarm logging during transient events. These triggers are based on configured analogue thresholds or on measured or computed digital points or a logical combination of the two.
Data Validation & Alarming
TurboWatch allows setting of five different alarm thresholds for every measured or computed point. In addition, rate of change alarms and alarm deadbands can also be set for individual points. Every point can also be assigned an alarm severity level based on its criticality.
Alarm Notificaitons
Multilevel alarms for all measured tags as well as computed key performance indicators allow early warning of any changes in a critical process with varying levels of severity. For immediate action system can also send email and SMS notifications to selected users based on alarm severity.
